WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 1ST, MEET THE HOUNDS IN PERSON

Charlie is hoping you will come down to the harbour front tonight between 6:30 and 8pm and meet him and many of the other dogs that are up for adoption.  Looks like the weather man is going to co-operate.  Even if you are not adopting a dog come and meet some of the wonderful dogs in our care.

It’s A Dog’s Life 3rd Annual Walk-A-Thon September 26th, 2010

Charlie wants to invite everyone to our 3rd Annual Dog Walk Sunday September 26th.  Sign in will take place at the Norman Community Hall at 9:30 am with the walk beginning at 10.  Every dog will get a participation toy, and there will be numerous spot prizes for the “humans”.  A BQ will follow at 11:00.  Help us help the hounds by getting your pledge sheets at Taylor Made Pet Supply, HoJoe Coffee & Books and the Kenora Vet Clinic or simply print from the link below.  Remember you don’t need a dog to participate, nor do you have to walk the whole route – from Norman Community Hall to the Harbour Front and return.

DIEGO WOULD LOVE TO BE OUT OF THE POUND FOR SEPTEMBER 1ST….CAN YOU HELP

Diego is at the pound and we would love to find a foster or forever home for him before our September 1st Meet the Hounds.  He is 5 years old already neutered and great with kids, cats & other dogs.  If you can help please give us a call

VIOLET NEEDS SOME ONE ON ONE

Violet needs some one on one so she can thrive like her siblings.  She is very sweet, but needs to be in a home that has more time to spend with her teaching her how to walk on a leash etc.  If you think you can help by fostering, or better yet by adopting her please give us a call.

HUSKY COMMUNITY REBATE PROGRAM

HELP US HELP THEM – IT’S EASY

Stop in at HOJOE COFFEE & BOOKS on Main street and pick up a Husky Community Rebate Program card.  Every time you make a purchase at a Husky or Mohawk station, or Husky House Restaurant, ask the attendant to swipe your card through the card-reader.

Husky will automatically register the value of all the purchases you make and send a payment for 2% of the total to It’s A Dog’s Life.

All purchase are eligible excluding lottery tickets, gift certificates and tobacco products.

Where can you use your card??

There are more than 450 Husky and Mohawk stations from Ontario to British Columbia.  You can travel and support It’s A Dog’s Lifeevery time you fill up, buy groceries and other convenience store items, get your car repaired or enjoy Husky House meal.

The Husky Community Rebate Card is not a credit card.  It cannot be used to make purchases.  Therefore, there is no risk to you if the card is lost.
